SAKE BOOM @ SUSHI GROOVE

3..2..1..sakeee..BOOM!!!

Then the sake cup fell into a glass of icy cold Heineken, and we all chug it up in seconds..
It's not the fastest way to get drunk, but it's indeed the smoothest!
Like all of you drunkard, I love, really love tequila, but once in a while we need something that don't feel like we were drinking some acid liquid or an ant acid, well you know what I mean right?

So for a smoother and less intoxicating sensation, you should try the sake boom, and what makes it better, you could actually do the countdown with a lot of friends and scream "BOOM" as loud as you can, and it feels sooo liberating, ahahahaa..

SCOTLAND

It's spring right? Then why it's 5 degrees Celcius?

That's the third thing I ask to my hostel's receptionist when I arrived there (after where's my room, and do I get free breakfast?). My friend told me before I go to Edinburgh from Birmingham, that it will be assbittingly cold there, but I refused to believe that as I was already planning for a spring trip when I decided to explore UK, and there was I, alone, cold (even when I was at the peak of my weight problem days), with just one jacket that I could rely on that is thick enough and waterproof enough to (I thought) conquer the temperature. I was wrong, so everyday i wore 5 pieces of clothes, from t-shirt, polo, sweater, you name it, and not to embarrass myself I keep rotating the way I combine those clothes everyday. So guys, if you have plan to go to Scotland, or any other northern UK, do not believe in the seasons!

Scotland was super great, I went to Edinburgh and the highland there. Edinburgh is so beautiful, almost every building there is more than 100 even 200 years old, beautifully handcrafted. When I was there, I was staying at the Westend Hostel, a small, but very valuable hostel, and the best part is it's location, very strategic.

The most important thing that you should do on your first day there is find an information about the "Free Walking Tour", it will take you around Edinburgh, all the important places, and it's history, the tour guide is excellent, and the best thing is it's free (you better tip though, I tipped him with Indonesian brand chocolate back then). And if you fancy some-kind of outdoor adventure, I recommend you taking the Lochness-Highland tour, you could go to the tourism center in the Princes street, and make a booking there. Camera obscura is nice to visit too, it's a museum of light, lenses and other optical illusions, also there you could see a great city view using the camera obscura. For those of you who drinks, I also recommend the scotch tasting, there you could taste a variety of Scotland's pride (the scotch).

Foods in Scotland are so-so, some are good, some just okay, but you have to try HAGGISH, it's a combo of beef/sheep's organs, pureed and wrapped with sheep intestine, sounds bad, but tastes GREAAAT, especially if you're an organ lover, or an Indonesian!
Overall, scotland is super-nice, super-cold (but a cup of Starbucks always helps), and super SUPER!!!

Below are several pictures of my trip, as I was traveling alone, I drag my tripod everywhere, it was quite exhausting, but really worth the effort.

Beyoncé - Sweet Dreams

Turn the lights on

Every night I rush to my bed
With hopes that maybe I'll get a chance to see you
When I close my eyes I'm going out of my head
Lost in a fairytale, can you hold my hands and be my guide?

Clouds filled with stars cover the skies
And I hope it rains, you're the perfect lullaby
What kinda dream is this?

You could be a sweet dream or a beautiful nightmare
Either way I don't wanna wake up from you
(Turn the lights on)

Sweet dream or a beautiful nightmare
Somebody pinch me, your love's too good to be true
(Turn the lights on)

My guilty pleasure, I ain't going no where
Baby long as you're here I'll be floating on air
'Cause you're my

You can be a sweet dream or a beautiful nightmare
Either way I don't wanna wake up from you
(Turn the lights on)

I mention you when I say my prayers
I wrap you around all of my thoughts
Boy you're my temporary high

I wish that when I wake up you're there
To wrap your arms around me for real
And tell me you'll stay by side

Clouds filled with stars cover the skies
And I hope it rains, you're the perfect lullaby
What kinda dream is this?

You could be a sweet dream or a beautiful nightmare
Either way I don't wanna wake up from you
(Turn the lights on)

Tattoo your name across my heart so it will remain
Not even death can make us part
What kind of dream is this?

ARRGGHHHHH, NOT LIKING IT!!!

nanana nanana nanana nana nananananana (in french), SISTEEEERR, SISTEEEERR..

Pernah gak sih kalian suka banget sama satu lagu, tapi gak dapet2 yg nyanyi siapa, lalu judulnya apa? Padahal udah hampir 2 bulan nyarinya. Penasaran banget, mana lagunya Perancis lagi, dengerin cuman di radio, lalu nanya ke radionya juga mereka gak tau (pas gak diputer sih nanyanya, hehehe), yah gitu deh..

THIS IS IT

"Billie Jean is not my lover
She's just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the kid is not my son
She says I am the one, but the kid is not my son"

She says I am the one, but the kid is not my son..
That's my favorite part of all MJ's lyrics, and the funny thing is I've never realized that was the exact words until today, when I watch This Is It in the theater.
The movie itself is a documentary of his latest concert, the This Is It, if you are a Michael Jackson fans, I highly recommend it, as it shows how great he is as an entertainer, a performer, a singer, a dancer. the most interesting part for me is the part where Michael shows his perfectionist drive for his work, it's fun to see him cringe as things don't go as it should be, and how he handles such things, I know it sounds weird, but you have to watch it yourself to understand what I mean.

Being a controversial person as he is, Michael Jackson has had many, or dare I say much things happen to him, from his bittersweet childhood, his golden era in the 80-90's, and his controversial fiesco in the late 90's until he passed away.

One thing that I remembered when I was a kid, in the 90's, I was doing MJ dancing things with my brother and cousin, we turned the car's front lamp on and acting as we were in the stage, and that car lamp is like a stage lamp, a giant spotlight. We did everything, from the moonwalk to the crotch grabbing moves.

People may say he's a freak, child molester, or anything, but for me he is still the king. In my opinion there is no one that has match MJ right now (in his achievement), and the world has lost its best possession, not in years, or decades, but centuries, yes it has lost its best possession in centuries.

ER (emergency room), being a surgery department intern!

kinda fun, but definitely exhausting

I did my first night shift in the surgery ER last wednesday, and will be doing it again this (Monday) night,..

the thing is, it's so exhausting, not that I don't like it--it being an adrenaline pumping "job", but to not be able to rest or even sit for hours, and to have dinner at 11pm earliest, it's kinda hard, real hard to cope with..

that's the negative part, the positive part, is that you always have an interesting patients brought to the ER, some are annoying, but most of the time they actually funny, especially the drunk ones,..

and to spend the night with friends while helping others, actually brings the good in people,..yeah, even me!

well, I think it's about time I go to sleep, instead of blabbering in this blog, as I won't be getting any until Tuesday night!
wish me luck guys

ciao

I LOVE INDONESIA, I really do!

satu nusa, satu bangsa, satu bahasa

I speak Indonesian everyday, with a hint of sundanesse here and there, and I just use my english when I'm abroad, or doing interviews, and posting a blog here..

Then why it's so hard for me to post a blog in Indonesian?
It's not that my english is THAT good, not at all (well, maybe a little, heheh), but seems to me that if I use Indonesian to actually type my thought, it feels, hmm nauseating, and eerily peculiar..

A few minutes ago, I just read a very interesting blog: http://appleincidents.blogspot.com/
the writers did part of his blog in Indonesian, and I actually note something, that I want to try to write a story, or whatever in Indonesian, and maybe I get a hint somehow, if I keep on reading other people's blog, that's in Indonesian of course!

(I think we shouldn't refer Indonesian language as Bahasa when we speaking in English, as far as I know, the term Bahasa to refer a specific language in English only used by Malaysian , and we all know Indonesian DO NOT wanted to use anything that correlates themselves with Malaysian routines, am I right? No offense guys!)

PRE-WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

for better or worse

That is exactly the words that came across my mind this morning, when I was doing the fashion for Eldy and Diana's pre-wedding photo-shoot. Both of them have a common interest in cats, so it was obvious that they asked us (et repertum-my team) to do a photo-shoot of them with their cats as one of three concept. First I thought that I will dress them in something elegant, and make them posed so, but when   I suddenly remembered that I bought 2 pieces of head accessories souvenir from tokyo disneysea (okay, I know I haven't wrote about it yet, I promise i will soon), I had a sudden urge to take a chance and do something entirely different than I was thinking before, a casual session, that brings the child in them, heheheee.

For me, the shoot went really well, and the wardrobe were absolutely (casually) stunning, glad I had changed my mind earlier, and opted for more uncommon theme.

Below are the raw unedited pictures of them, and our team et repertum (Weny, Gana, Eric, and Me!)
